Meet The Teachers

Iris

Hi everyone! I’m Iris, the owner and founder of Little Bean Bilingual Preschool. I’ve been working with preschool-age students for nearly a decade now! My passion for teaching began in high school when I took a preschool class and instantly fell in love. I decided to pursue studies in childhood development and early childhood education and graduated with honors. I’m also state certified.

I’ve lived in Orem most of my life and I love it here. My husband and I met a few months after I got home from serving an LDS mission in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We got married in 2020 and have three wonderful kiddos! I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, playing soccer, sewing, and board games. I’m half Mexican and grew up speaking Spanish which I have implemented with my children as well. Community, culture, and family are so important to me.

Maria

Hi, I'm Maria! I'm the youngest of three siblings and aunt of two beautiful boys. I'm 26 years old. I was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Back in my hometown I used to be an ESL teacher and the leader of the choir in my church. I've been working as a teacher for three years now, teaching English, science, and social studies. I have always had a passion for new languages and I studied 4 years of English and German when I was living in Ecuador. I'm currently working on my Masters degree as an ESL teacher.

In High School I was in charge of a summer camp program and I was taking care of the little ones, that's when I knew I wanted to shape little minds. I've been living in Orem for a few months now and have been living in Utah for two years now. I love playing the guitar and cooking in my free time.
