''We’ve brought our daughters to Iris’s preschool since they were three and 1½. Most preschools wouldn’t take a child that young, but Iris made it possible for our girls to be together while I work—and it has helped our family so much. They loved their first year so much that they begged to go back, and this is now their second year in a row.

''The environment is warm, engaging, and fun. Both girls are enthusiastically learning Spanish, and they come home practicing colors, numbers, and letters—with crafts and coloring pages to show me. They talk about the “kindness jar” and “Sharasaurus Rex,” which tells me they’re learning character as well as academics. Outdoor time is a highlight, too: feeding chickens and playing outside are their favorite parts of the day.
